The AFPNWO Chapter accepts credit card payments only, and all payments must be received in advance. If you do not pay by the registration deadline, you will be charged the additional $5.00 late fee. If you make a reservation, you are responsible for the fee even if you do not attend. Cancellations must be received by the posted reservation deadline to be eligible for a refund or non-payment.

You’ve stopped everything else that’s happening in your nonprofit to make sure your event goes off without a hitch. It looks like you raised a lot of funds but once you look at the costs, did you really make money?

We’ll take a look at what seemed like a successful event and how finally measuring the return on investment changed one organization’s entire perspective.

 

About the Presenter

Michelle KlingerMichelle Leow Klinger is currently serving as Executive Director of Partners in Education. Her previous role was as Director of The Center for Nonprofit Resources and as a Program Officer at  the Greater Toledo Community Foundation. In those roles, she provided consulting and resources including professional development for nonprofits across northwest Ohio. Michelle began her career as a certified teacher, first at an elementary school teacher in southern California and later at both Maumee and Anthony Wayne high schools in northwest Ohio.  Since 1999, she has been involved in the nonprofit sector including working as a resource specialist and technology trainer at WGTE Public Media, as Education and Outreach Manager and Grant Project Manager at COSI Toledo and as Assistant Director of the Northwest Ohio Center for Excellence in STEM Education at Bowling Green State University. 

In between her work in nonprofits, Michelle ran her own for-profit retail business with her husband, Eric.  She is the mother of three, including twin sons. Michelle has years of experience in curriculum and program development, freelance grant writing, fundraising, board governance and strategic planning and is delighted to have landed in a position where she is able to work with both schools and assist nonprofits that serve children and families.
